Louët has developed a new system to allow users to choose between Scotch tension (ScT) and Irish tension( IrT). Our Jenn-E has a foot-pedal on off switch as well as a manual speed control dial. Spin direction control switch, Z/S and a neutral position (which doubles as an off position).
Motor with variable speed from 0 to 820 RPM
This allows for flexible and precise control over the spinning speed, catering to different types of fibers and yarn weights.
Hand-operated speed control
Users can manually adjust the speed according to their preferences and the requirements of the spinning project they're working on.
Switchable direction (left or right) with a switch:
This feature provides convenience and versatility, allowing the spinner to easily change the direction of rotation based on their spinning technique or preference.
The name of the Louët E-Spinner is Jenn-E, named after a spindle frame invented by James Hargreaves in 1764. We thought this was a nice reference to the evolution of spinning and the difference between foot treadled and electric.
