Chair Pad/Placemat Rag Rug Weaving

Come and learn the art of rag rug weaving!

Two classes are being offered - Friday, February 21st at 10am and Sunday, February 23rd at 10 AM at the Holiday Inn at the American Center, Madison WI.

Rag rug weaving is an excellent way to recycle and upgrade fabrics into something functional, beautiful and homemade and keep out of landfills.

All materials will be furnished and the loom is included (15"x20") in the class fees. Strips of fabric will be available (if you want special colors, please bring cut into about 1" strips). Please bring a sharp scissors.

The instructor is Clayton Smith, owner of Irish Ridge Alpacas, LLC, in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin. Clayton has demonstrated rag rug weaving and handmade brooms for Schumacher Farm Park Heritage Fest for several years, and classes are available at the farm.
